How it started.

How it started.

Dénsca started as an idea that didn’t quite go to plan the first time but that’s what made it what it is now.

Back in January 2025, Finlay Critchley launched his first brand, ASCEND. It picked up quickly, but by April 2025 the name had to be dropped due to trademark issues. Instead of forcing it, he stepped back from the industry and took time to learn understanding the mistakes, the market, and how to build something properly.

By January 2026, he came back with a clearer vision. Rather than starting from scratch, he kept the foundation of what ASCEND was about. Using the same letters, he reworked the name into Dénsca, a quiet link to the original idea, but built to move differently.

Starting with headwear, the brand made over £1,000 in its first month.
